Reventhlow was wealthy, young racer who had little success racing Cobra in 1957 He decided to use his considerable wealth to build his own car. Armed with little knowledge about race cars Reventhlow combined pumped Corvette engine with Halibrandt quick change rear end to form the car of his dreams For one year the Scarab was everyone else's nightmare as the powerful racer set new track records every time t hit the track. Armed with success, Reventhlow took on the world in 1959 and took his Scarab to Formula One racing with nowhere near the same success as he had club racing.
